Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 28 September 2025
Welcome to Perfect Score Tutor (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using this website or booking lessons, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1) Who we are
Perfect Score Tutor provides private tuition online and in person in Barkingside, Ilford (IG6), London. For privacy, our exact home address is only shared with confirmed bookings.
Contact: perfectscoret@gmail.com
2) Using this website
-
You agree to use the site lawfully and not disrupt, damage or misuse it.
-
Content on this site (text, logos, worksheets, images) is our intellectual property unless stated otherwise. You may not copy, share, sell or republish it without permission.
3) Enquiries, bookings & your account
-
Submitting our forms or contacting us does not create a contract. A booking is confirmed only when we confirm the lesson and payment is received (or subscription is active).
-
You must provide accurate contact details and keep them up-to-date. Where the student is under 18, a parent/guardian must be the contracting party.
4) Subscriptions (Weekly billing)
-
Tuition is sold as a weekly subscription, paid in advance on your billing date (the date you start).
-
Your plan includes the agreed number of lessons per week.
-
The subscription auto-renews until you cancel (Section 6).
-
Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice (email/site notice).
5) Lessons: timing, lateness & attendance
-
Please arrive/log in on time. Sessions end at the scheduled time.
-
If a student is 30+ minutes late or does not attend, it counts as a no-show and is charged in full.
6) Cancelling a lesson or your subscription
-
Lesson cancellations/reschedules:
-
48+ hours before the start time → free reschedule (subject to availability) or lesson credit to use within the current paid month.
-
Under 48 hours (incl. same-day/no-show) → charged in full.
-
Email perfectscoret@gmail.com to cancel/reschedule (email timestamp applies).
-
-
Cancelling the subscription: you can cancel any time and billing will stop from the next renewal. To avoid another charge, cancel before your billing date.
-
We do not pause subscriptions.
-
If we cancel a lesson and cannot offer a reasonable make-up, we’ll credit or refund that lesson.
-
Full details are in our Refunds & Cancellations Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
7) Fees & payment
-
Invoices/receipts are issued by email. We accept [Stripe/PayPal/bank transfer—edit as needed].
-
Payment must clear before lessons take place. We may suspend lessons for late/non-payment.
8) Parent/guardian responsibilities (under-18s)
-
A responsible adult must approve lessons, provide accurate information, and ensure the student has a suitable environment (quiet space, device, internet for online lessons).
-
You remain responsible for the student’s conduct and safety travelling to/from any in-person lesson.
9) Safeguarding & conduct
-
We aim to provide a safe, respectful environment. Abusive, discriminatory or unsafe behaviour is not tolerated.
-
Where we have safeguarding concerns, we may stop lessons and, if appropriate, report to the relevant authorities. Unused prepaid lessons will be refunded/credited.
10) Online lessons & technology
-
You are responsible for your device, software and internet connection. We’ll try to help with minor issues, but time lost due to your setup may not be made up or refunded.
-
If technical issues on our side prevent teaching, we’ll rebook or credit/refund the affected lesson.
11) Learning materials & intellectual property
-
Worksheets, notes and resources we provide are for personal educational use by the student enrolled. Do not share, sell or publish them.
-
Digital materials may be non-returnable once accessed/downloaded.
12) Results & limitations
-
We do not guarantee specific grades or outcomes. Progress depends on many factors (attendance, homework, effort, starting level).
-
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the affected lesson(s)/month. We do not accept liability for indirect or consequential loss.
13) Location & safety (home-based teaching)
-
In-person lessons take place at our home in Barkingside (IG6). The exact address is given in the booking confirmation and should not be shared publicly.
-
Please respect our household privacy and any house rules (e.g., arrival times, waiting areas).
14) Privacy & data protection
-
We handle personal information according to our Privacy Policy (UK GDPR compliant). By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to that policy.
-
Privacy contact: perfectscoret@gmail.com
15) Force majeure
-
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control (e.g., power cuts, illness, extreme weather, platform outages). We will rebook where practicable.
16) Complaints
-
Please email perfectscoret@gmail.com with details. We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and to resolve promptly and fairly.
17) Changes to these Terms
-
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll change the Effective date above and, for significant changes, provide notice by email/site. Continued use after notice means you accept the updated Terms.
18) Governing law
-
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
